I've driven about 800 miles in my 2021 Commander XTP, and I've noticed an orange warning light along with the message 'Check Smart-Lok.' There aren't any other errors I've seen. Has anyone else run into this issue or know what it is about? I'd really appreciate any help or tips

I haven't personally dealt with that one but from what I know, the Check Smart-Lok message has something to do with the front differential system. could be due to a fault with the differential module, sensors or wiring

you know, that 'Check Smart-Lok' means the computer is seeing something off with that electronic front diff.
I'd start by giving all the wires and connectors going to your front differential a good visual inspection, make sure nothing's loose or pinched from riding.
It could be anything from a bad speed sensor to a sticky actuator within the diff itself.
For this kind of electronic system on a new machine, a trip to the dealer is probably the fastest way to get it sorted out with their diagnostic tools, and it's covered under warranty

While both are right, I wouldn't start digging into the big problems just yet. Have you tested the battery and its health? It's not uncommon for a dying battery to start causing electrical gremlins. Also, it's the easiest thing to check.
