I got a 2013 Commander 800R, it had Dalton clutches and I thought was a solid clutch setup. Lo and behold, 400 miles later and I'm already two belts in.On closer inspection, I found a wear on the primary sheaves and a nearly seized 2 way bearing. I recently checked with a local parts shopm they need an OEM part number but I can't seem to find as a full clutch assembly. please help me out before I go crazy!

hi @Kanata-8 try to check Can-Am's online parts diagrams.
Go to a site like Partzilla, Ronnie's Mail Order, or your local Can-Am dealer's website.
Search for your specific model and look under the 'Clutch' or 'CVT' section
You should find exploded diagrams with individual part numbers for the primary clutch components

If the base components are already compromised, you're just throwing belts at the problem, if the local shop can source a new primary or rebuild kit, I'd seriously consider going that route before putting on another belt. Otherwise, it's gonna be more of the same

I faced a similar problem with an old quad myself. I kept changing the belts over and over until I discovered the worn clutch and a faulty bearing were actually to blame. I ended up getting a rebuild kit, and that did the trick. It's definitely more effective to replace the parts instead of just continuously swapping out belts. I hope you figure things out soon

Why they're asking for the part number is beyond me, when they can just grab the vin number and find the part. As a matter of fact, you can do the same yourself on any of the popular part websites and find anything you need.

For the primary sheaves and the two-way bearing, you're probably looking at individual components rather than a full clutch assembly from BRP for a 2013 Commander 800R.
They don't typically sell the entire primary clutch as one part number for replacement.
You'll need to source the movable and fixed sheave halves separately, and then the one-way, bearing, not two-way.
I suggest going directly to a BRP dealer with your VIN!
